These U.S. Navy Enlisted Surface Warfare Excellence pennants measure 18"H x 26"L and are made from 200 denier nylon with reinforced fly ends. They feature an embroidered design on both sides of the flag.
Enlisted Surface Warfare Pennants are awarded to ships of the Naval surface force who meet a standard of having 80% of their enlisted personnel of or above the grade of petty officer 2nd class, and 100% of those who have been aboard more than 18 months, qualify as enlisted surface warfare specialists.
These flags are flown at the main when not under way, immediately above battle efficiency pennants.
